Copia: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts is a non-profit cultural center and museum whose mission is to investigate and celebrate the culture of the collective table through Wine, Food and the Arts. The stone facade is a natural material selection to present a monument to the center’s culture.
Located in California’s wine country on the banks of the Napa River, this museum consists of natural stone veneer over concrete masonry units. One of the points of interest is the Endible Gardens, an organic garden enclosed by stone bench planters where you can see, smell and taste seasonal planting, learn gardening and cooking techniques, or simply enjoy a pleasant stroll.
The natural stone veneer installation creates textural surfaces and shadowing that complement the contemporary architectural design.
